A Guide to El Jefe CBD Hemp Flowers

El Jefe is Spanish for “The Boss”, a name that hints at its impressive CBD content and premium standing. It’s not all that common, but it definitely has its merits, as we’ll explain in this review of the El Jefe hemp strain.

El Jefe Hemp Flower Review

El Jefe seems to have been bred from a combination of Ultra Haze and OG Kush. We say “seems to”, because there is some confusion concerning its parentage and we’ve seen around 6 other possible parents being mentioned.

Ultra Haze and OG Kush are the most likely, though, and that’s what we’re going with.

The flowers combine vibrant green leaves with golden hairs and a very light frosting of trichomes.

The buds are very dense but they aren’t that sticky, as the trichomes are not as dense as they are with strains like Super Glue.

Most El Jefe hemp flowers are produced outdoors, which might be why it doesn’t produce many trichomes.

You can find some indoor and greenhouse-grown phenotypes, and these have a little more to offer, but they are much rarer and tend to be more expensive, as well.

Cannabinoid and Terpene Content

Many of the El Jefe hemp flowers that we found were advertised as containing around 17% CBD and 20% total cannabinoids, but there are strains out there that go as high as 24%.

Myrcene is the most dominant terpene, lending notes of fruit and earth, but it also contains detectable amounts of Limonene, Caryophyllene, and Pinene, creating an intriguing aroma profile.

El Jefe Aroma and Flavors

El Jefe has very strong citrus notes, with skunky, earthy, and woody undertones. You will detect sharp lemon peel, sweet cinnamon, cracked black pepper, and fermented fruits, all carried on a gassy and pungent wave.

You will detect a variety of different flavors when you grind those nugs down and eventually take your first drag.

Benefits of El Jefe

If you’re looking for a relaxing strain, then grab a bag of El Jefe hemp flowers. The effects hit you almost instantly and begin with a wave of euphoria, followed by a clearheaded relaxation.

You can smoke these flowers to help you relax and unwind and they may also give you a creative spark to help you work, study, and create.

El Jefe’s high CBD levels, along with its anti-insomnia and anti-inflammation properties, have made it a popular choice among medicinal users.
