A Guide to Charlotte’s Sauce CBD Hemp Flowers

Charlotte’s Sauce is a high-CBD strain bred from two of the industry’s best-loved varietals. It’s sweet, woody, fresh, and comes packed with therapeutic CBD and terpenes.

It’s not as common as its parent strains, but it still has a lot to offer.

Charlotte’s Sauce Hemp Flower Review

Two hugely popular strains were used to create the unique Charlotte’s Sauce.

One of those parents, Charlotte’s Web, was named after Charlotte Figi, often said to be the girl who changed the legal hemp industry.

It’s one of the first and while it’s no longer the strongest or tastiest, it’s still considered to be one of the best and is popular among medicinal users.

As for Special Sauce, it’s not quite as famous, but it should be. Special Sauce is one of the sharpest and most tongue-twisting strains you’ll find, leaving a lasting impact in your mouth and in your mind.

By bringing these two strains together, Charlotte’s Sauce is able to provide the health benefits of Charlotte’s Web while imparting many of the strong and astringent flavors of Special Sauce.

Cannabinoid and Terpene Content

Charlotte’s Sauce’s medium-sized buds are fairly tight and very sticky. It features bright green leaves and vibrant hints of orange, red, and purple, making for some very attractive nugs.

The cannabinoid content varies, but the average seems to be between 15% and 16%. As for the terpenes, Charlotte’s Sauce is rich in Bisabolol and Caryophyllene, as well as a number of other common terpenes.

Charlotte’s Sauce Aroma and Flavors

Charlotte’s Sauce is sharp and spicy, just like its parent, Special Sauce. There is also a strong earthiness and elements of spice.

It’s not the most intense strain you will encounter and it’s definitely not as sweet as Berry Blossom, as citrusy as Lemon Drop, or as sour as Sour Space Candy, but it does blend many of these notes together and creates something very palatable.

Benefits of Charlotte’s Sauce

As a Sativa-dominant hybrid, Charlotte’s Sauce is often recommended for daytime use.

It may provide an uplifting and soothing effect, calming you down and easing your woes while giving you a kick of creativity and making you a little more focused.

Of course, it really all depends on the dose and the user.

The more you smoke and the more sensitive you are, the more likely you are to feel sedative effects. It may even make you groggy after a few hours.

If you have a lot of experience with hemp strains and are used to smoking them on a daily or even weekly basis, you’ll probably experience more of those uplifting effects.

In any case, it’s always best to start with a low dose later in the day and then judge the effects from there.

Closing Thoughts

Although rare, we did find a few different online dispensaries selling small amounts of Charlotte’s Sauce. It seems to be more common in pre-rolls than it is in loose flower form, but that could change from season to season.

Ask your local dispensary if they have any Charlotte’s Sauce in stock. If not, you may be able to find some online and have it shipped direct.

If you can’t find any but you’re interested in the flavors and the efforts, we recommend taking a look at Special Sauce, which has some similar effects but is much more common.
