A Guide to Ceiba CBD Hemp Flowers

Ceiba CBD is a hemp strain that hails from the beautiful state of Vermont and was bred using some of the most popular strains in the United States.

On paper, Ceiba CBD looks incredible, and so we were keen to try the strain out for ourselves and see if that transfers to an enjoyable smoke!

Ceiba CBD Hemp Flower Review

So, what makes Ceiba CBD such a promising prospect?

After all, not many top strains come from Vermont and it's not the first state you think about when you hear of quality hemp.

It all comes down to the parentage, as Ceiba CBD was created by breeding a combination of Cannatonic and Harlequin with Sour Tsunami.

Not only are these strains fantastic in their own right, delivering a wealth of fruity, spicy, and intensely sour flavors, but they have also been used to produce some of the most popular varietals in the industry right now.

Bred by Northern Roots Nursery, Ceiba CBD flowers aren't much to look at (although they are nice and big) and they are a little generic in that department, but there is a lot going on behind the scenes and once you crack those nugs open, you will unleash a wealth of amazing aromas.

Cannabinoid and Terpene Content

At around 9mg of terpenes per gram, Ceiba CBD flowers are deliciously intense.

The main terpenes include Caryophyllene, Bisabolol, and Pinene.

The former provides the earthiness and spice while the latter is where the strain gets its sourness from.

The total cannabinoid content of Ceiba CBD falls around the 20% mark and 17% of this is CBD.

The THC levels stay within legal limits and the flowers also contain a minimal amount of CBC.

Of course, these numbers are not set in stone and will depend on the phenotype.

Ceiba CBD Aroma and Flavors

In addition to the main terpenes listed above, Ceiba CBD also has Limonene, Guaiol, and Ocimene, adding some citrus and floral flavors to the mix and creating more depth.

Overall, it's a very earthy and spicy strain.

The citrus compounds come through more in the aroma while the flavors tend to be a little more pungent, leaving a subtle sweetness on the lips and a heavy herbal flavor in the mouth.

Benefits of Ceiba CBD

Ceiba CBD is a great stress reliever.

The effects begin in the body and soon move to the mind, relaxing, de-stressing, and uplifting. If you're having a bad day, it could be just what you need to perk you up.

It's not heavily sedating or uplifting and falls somewhere between these two extremes, providing a balance of effects.

Closing Thoughts

Ceiba CBD is the pride of Vermont. It has a strong lineage, a variety of detectable aromas, and some fast-acting effects.

The buds are big and sticky and while they are hard to find, we did uncover a few phenotypes sold by a few major dispensaries.

It has received nearly universally positive reviews, is reasonably priced, and seems to be getting more common.

So, if you find some on the shelves of your local dispensary, be sure to grab a few grams.
