A Guide to Berry Blossom Hemp Flowers

Berry Blossom is an in-demand strain and never fails to sell when stocked in the country’s biggest dispensaries. It was first developed by Bodhi Urban at High Grade Hemp Seed and is a cross between Cherry Kandahar S1 and Chardonnay, a parentage that makes for a resilient plant and some beautifully rich and flavorsome flowers.

Berry Blossom CBD Hemp Flower Review

A long flowering cycle allows Berry Blossom to develop dense flowers with a varied and rich terpene profile.

The seeds are suitable for smallholdings and commercial farms and can be used to create premium hemp flowers or concentrated CBD extracts.

This versatility is why Berry Blossom is so popular with growers across the United States and why you’ll find it on the shelves of most dispensaries.

Cannabinoid Content

The total CBD content of Berry Blossom varies considerably and depends on everything from whether it was grown indoors or outdoors, to the length of the growing season and quality of the seeds.

High Grade Hemp advertises the CBD levels as being 10%, but we’ve seen some indoor strains offering as much as 16% and the average seems to be around 13%.

It’s not great, but it’s usually sufficient to provide the benefits that you seek.

Berry Blossom Aroma and Flavors

Candied raspberries, sweet blueberries, tangy blackberries—Berry Blossom aromas are often compared to sweet and slightly tart fruits, telling you all that you need to know about this sweet, fruity, and aromatic varietal.

The flavors are not as pronounced as you might think and when you take that first drag, many of that sweetness disappears and is replaced by earthy, gassy, and woody notes.

If you’re looking for a strain that will overpower your senses, this is not it. If you want the full fruitiness without the harsher and earthier flavors, try vaping it instead.

Terpene Profile

Myrcene is the dominant terpene in Berry Blossom and it’s also high in Caryophyllene and Humulene. These compounds are found in mangoes, hops, and sage and are responsible for many of the strong and distinctive flavors associated with these fruits and herbs.

Benefits of Berry Blossom Hemp Flowers

As Berry Blossom is Indica dominant, it’s best enjoyed as a calming evening smoke. It’s not overpowering and won’t lock you to the couch, but it will take the edge off and could help to settle your mind and prepare you for sleep.

It has also been labeled as an appetite suppressant, although this is an effect that varies considerably from user to user. It might kill your appetite completely or it might send you scrambling to the fridge in search of Kit-Kats and soda—you’ll have to have a smoke and see for yourself.

Closing Thoughts: Berry Blossom Hemp Flowers

If you’re looking for a sweet and fruity strain, Berry Blossom should be near the very top of your list. The CBD content isn’t the highest and it pales in comparison to strains like The Wife and T1, but it’s versatile, flavorful, and very relaxing.

What’s more is that the sheer scale of Berry Blossom production means you have plenty of options to choose from, and that there is always a bargain to be had.
